The Ultimate Guide to Kemer Boat Tours: Mega Star, Pirate Ship & Suluada
If you are staying in Kemer, some of the best views of the Turkish Riviera are not found on the road — they are found from the sea.
Set between the Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean, Kemer is surrounded by pine-covered slopes, clear blue water, sheltered bays and a coastline made for exploring by boat. Discover our full selection of Kemer Excursions & Tours for more memorable day trips.
But when you start looking at Kemer boat tours, the choice can become confusing. Should you book the Mega Star Yacht Tour, spend the day on a pirate ship, or travel towards Adrasan and swim around Suluada?
All three offer a day on the Mediterranean, but the experience is very different.
Why Take a Boat Tour in Kemer?
Kemer's coastline stretches between mountains, forests and small natural bays. From the water, the contrast becomes even more impressive: green slopes drop towards a deep-blue sea while secluded swimming spots appear between rocky headlands.
That variety is also reflected in the boat tours themselves. Some focus on entertainment, others are designed with families in mind, while tours towards Suluada put the emphasis on clear water and natural scenery.
Mega Star Yacht Tour: Best for a Lively Day at Sea
Choose the Mega Star Yacht Tour if your ideal boat day includes music, swimming and a social atmosphere.
The current Sun Travel experience is a large-vessel coastal cruise from the Kemer region combining Mediterranean scenery, swimming opportunities and entertainment. Exact programmes can respond to weather and sea conditions, so it is better to think of Mega Star as an experience-led cruise rather than choosing it for one specific bay.
Mega Star is a good choice if you:
- Travel with friends
- Enjoy music and an energetic atmosphere
- Want swimming as well as onboard entertainment
- Prefer a social cruise to a quiet sightseeing boat
Travellers looking primarily for peaceful scenery may prefer Suluada.
Gonster Pirate Boat: Best for Families and Entertainment
A pirate ship is difficult for children to ignore — and that is part of its appeal.
The Gonster Pirate Boat Trip turns a Kemer cruise into a more playful experience, with pirate-ship styling, onboard animations and a foam party. Sun Travel's current package also lists transfers, insurance, guide service, buffet lunch and soft drinks among the inclusions.
Choose the Pirate Boat if you:
- Are travelling with children
- Want a fun, energetic atmosphere
- Prefer activities to a purely scenic cruise
- Want a boat trip that feels like part excursion, part entertainment
Couples looking for a particularly quiet day at sea may find the atmosphere more energetic than they need.
Suluada: Best for Clear Water and Natural Scenery
If the sea itself is the main reason you want a boat trip, Suluada is probably the option that will catch your attention.
Often marketed as the “Maldives of Turkey”, Suluada is an uninhabited island off the Adrasan coast. The area is known for clear Mediterranean water, rocky scenery and swimming stops. Türkiye's official tourism portal identifies Suluada boat trips as one of Adrasan's notable sailing experiences.
Sun Travel's Adrasan Boat Trip / Suluada is offered to guests staying in the Kemer region with transfer arrangements, allowing travellers to reach the Adrasan departure area without organising the journey independently.
Choose Suluada if you:
- Care most about swimming and clear water
- Prefer scenery to onboard entertainment
- Enjoy photography
- Want a more nature-focused Mediterranean day
Suluada is extremely popular in summer, so it is better to expect a beautiful natural destination rather than a completely deserted private island.
Mega Star vs Pirate Ship vs Suluada
If you are still undecided:
- Best for couples: Suluada
- Best for families: Gonster Pirate Boat
- Best for groups of friends: Mega Star Yacht Tour
- Best water and scenery: Suluada
- Best entertainment: Pirate Boat or Mega Star
- Best for photography: Suluada
- Best social atmosphere: Mega Star
The best Kemer boat tour is not necessarily the biggest or the most famous. It is the one that matches the kind of day you want.
What to Bring on a Kemer Boat Trip
Bring swimwear, a towel, high-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Non-slip sandals or secure footwear are useful on wet decks.
A waterproof phone pouch or small dry bag is also worth packing if you plan to take photos during the swimming stops.
Best Time for Kemer Boat Tours
Outdoor excursions in Kemer are particularly popular from May to October, with the busiest period falling in midsummer.
July and August offer hot summer conditions but also larger crowds. May, June, September and early October can be attractive for travellers who want warm weather with a slightly more relaxed atmosphere.
Which Kemer Boat Tour Should You Choose?
Ask yourself one simple question:
“What kind of day do I want on the Mediterranean?”
Choose Mega Star for a lively, social cruise. Choose the Gonster Pirate Boat for family-friendly entertainment. Choose Suluada when clear water, swimming and coastal scenery are at the top of your list.
Whichever you choose, exploring Kemer Excursions from the Mediterranean adds an entirely different perspective to your holiday.
